Federal Gear Up
SU GEAR UP is a partnership between Syracuse University and the Syracuse City SchoolDistrict, designed to increase the graduation rate and college attendance of students. SU GEAR UP is also aligned with community agencies and business partnerships to offer programming and mentoring.
Institute for Retired Professionals (IRP)
IRP provides opportunities for retired professionals to stay intellectually active, expand interests, and make new acquaintances through meetings featuring guest speakers.
Onondaga Citizens League (OCL)
The Onondaga Citizens League fosters informed public discourse by identifying and studying critical community issues affecting Central New York, developing recommendations for action, and communicating study findings to interested and affected groups.
Thursday Morning Roundtable (TMR)
TMR is a weekly civic forum bringing together a mix of community leaders and experts from a variety of fields to learn about public issues and problems.
Bristol-Myers Squibb Science Horizons
A week-long summer program for Onondaga County middle school students designed to encourage interest in science, technology, and science-related careers.
Shadow Day
Sponsored by University College, Seymour Magnet School, and La Lucha (a Latino organization for SU students), Shadow Day brings 5th grade students to campus for a day, where they experience college life firsthand by shadowing an SU student.
Stone Canoe
An award-winning journal of arts and ideas showcasing the work of artists and writers having connections to Upstate New York, the Stone Canoe is published annually and encourages contributions from February to July each year. See stonecanoejournal.org for details.
Citizens Academy
The Citizens Academy, sponsored by University College and F.O.C.U.S. Greater Syracuse, offers residents of Onondaga County the opportunity to find out how local government works, how to join with government to effect change, and how to create the future of our community.

The Academic Institute for Educators of Adults (AIEA) offers continuing education to educators of adults.
ACCESS Program
ACCESS is the result of a unique partnership between Onondaga Community Living and University College of Syracuse University. It allows students with severe disabilities to participate in college classes, and helps them navigate the college process.
Women of the University Community
The Women of the University Community is an inclusive organization established at Syracuse University that schedules special events during the school year, sponsors auxiliary groups that meet regularly, and organizes projects to raise funds for scholarships.T
