artistically, and personally. You participate in dance classes with
renowned faculty and enjoy a comprehensive curriculum that includes
exposure to live performances, history, and repertory. The mission
of the Summer Intensive is to develop well-rounded dancers through

ballet technique.
About your teachers and mentors
The key to success in any field is to learn from the masters who
have gone before. The Summer Dance Intensive artistic director and visiting
artists make up a faculty that guarantees a valuable learning experience
for dancers setting out on their journey to a serious dance career.
Classes
Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., plus part of Saturday
Students take four classes a day: generally three dance classes and a lecture/workshop class. Sundays are for field trips and free time. The curriculum offers serious students high-level ballet classes, workshops, and lectures that are essential and critical to the development of each dancer.
In addition, there are rehearsals and choreography sessions approximately three evenings each week. The three-week program culminates in a public dance performance. The first two weeks may be taken separately, but you are strongly encouraged to participate in the full three-week program.
