Pagan demonstrates easy yoga, tai chi, and meditation exercises. Mary will also share how lifelong learning and continuing education can increase and improve your longevity.
(FULL) Mindful Eating Wednesday, March 5, 2008 6–8 p.m.
Mindful Eating is a non-traditional approach to healthy weight loss. It teaches you how to accept reality and respond appropriately to life experiences. Lisa Kaufmann, M.D., a physician specializing in Internal Medicine at University Hospital and professor at SUNY Upstate Medical University, will review the principles of mindfulness, and teach attendees how to recognize the things that trigger eating. Learn to recognize the difference between physical and non-physical hunger and how to deal with both in a healthy way. Kaufmann will also explain how to enjoy foods while naturally eating less, cope with emotions without using food, exercise for fun, and become at peace with the body.
